NEW LS ENGINE VALVE SPRING COMPRESSOR

LSM Racing Products has announced its new valve spring compressor for GM LS series applications. The new SC-167 compressor tool may be used to service LS1, LS6, LS2, LS3 and LS7 cylinder heads, whether equipped with rocker rails or pedestals.

The tool mounts directly to the factory rocker stand on the LS1, LS6, LS2 or LS3, and directly to the cylinder head on LS7 versions. The tool features a proprietary floating valve angle axis, combined with precision lead screw technology which allows the tool to automatically adjust for valve angle variance and easily compresses the springs straight down in all applications. The SC-167 tool also features contoured spring reliefs for spring clearance. This allows the tool to remain in place while removing or installing springs (simply rotate the tool 90 degrees to remove/install springs). Because the compressor tool mounts directly to the factory stand, there’s no need to remove all rockers if servicing only a single spring or pair of springs.

The compressor tool is constructed of billet steel and easily compresses a pair of springs with up to 600 lbs of combined spring pressure.

LSM tools are 100% designed and manufactured in the USA. The LS compressor tool SC-167 sells for $219. The firm’s website is www.lsmproducts.com. LSM Racing Products may be contacted at sales@lsmproducts.com or by calling 916-632-2692. Tell them you saw the product at www.precisionenginetech.com.
