The United States Patent Office has issued United States Letters Patent No. 7,716,827 to Goodson Tools & Supplies for Engine Builders for its Reluctor Ring Installation Tool (RRJ-350).
The Reluctor Ring Installation Tool was originally designed to aid in the installation of the reluctor ring following crankshaft work. Proper alignment of the reluctor ring is essential for ignition and timing in fuel-injected engines. The Reluctor Ring Installation Tool makes proper alignment simple. The tool indexes the dowel hole of the flange to the dowel hole in the sensor ring, ensuring proper alignment every time.
The Reluctor Ring Installation Tool is designed to fit General Motors Generation III engines and aligns GM# 12559353 and 12586768 Sensor Rings on the crankshaft in the correct phased position.
