HOT TITANIUM

DEI has announced a new hot-wrap for exhaust components. Called Titanium Wrap,  the new material is constructed from pulverized lava rock, extruded into fibers, then woven into a tight weave for titanium-like strength and thermal shielding. The wrap reduces underhood temperatures and is capable of handling direct continuous heat up to 1800 degrees F and radiant heat up to 2800 degrees F. The thermal wrap is very pliable, so there’s no need to wet the wrap in order to achieve a tight wrap-fit. Titanium Wrap is available in 1″ and 2″ widths and in 15 and 50 foot lengths. The new wrap will not shrink and is much more resistant to temperature and vibration, abrasions, chemical and hot oil spills, as compared to glass fiber wrap. Plus, the new Titanium Wrap provides a very cool carbon fiber appearance.
